Our Commitment

At Haloed Tutoring, we are dedicated to providing exceptional educational support tailored to each student’s needs. This involves careful planning, securing highly qualified tutors, and investing in premium resources, often through partnerships with specialised educational providers. Our refund and package validity policy reflects these commitments and ensures we can consistently deliver the high-quality service our students deserve.

Purchases and Refunds

  1. Finality of Purchase: All purchases for tutoring sessions, session packages, or program enrolments are considered final at the time of payment.
  2. No Refunds for Services Provided: We invest time and resources in preparing for and delivering each tutoring session. Therefore, refunds are not available for any tutoring sessions or services that have already been provided.
  3. No Refunds for Change of Mind: As resources and tutor schedules are allocated based on enrolments, refunds are generally not provided for changes of mind or circumstances after a purchase has been made.
  4. Exception for Undelivered Services by Haloed Tutoring: In the specific event that Haloed Tutoring is demonstrably unable to provide the agreed-upon tutoring services for a prolonged period (e.g., multiple consecutive weeks) due to exceptional circumstances such as excessive, unmanageable demand or unforeseen operational disruptions on our part, and where no mutually agreeable alternative (such as rescheduling with the original tutor, arranging a suitable substitute tutor, or offering an alternative format like online sessions if applicable) is viable or acceptable to the client, then clients will be entitled to a pro-rata refund for any remaining, unused prepaid sessions within their current package. This clause applies strictly to situations where the service cannot be delivered due to limitations originating from Haloed Tutoring.

Package Validity

  1. Expiry Period: Tutoring packages and prepaid session credits purchased from Haloed Tutoring are valid for use for a period of 365 days (one year) from the original date of purchase.
  2. Utilisation: We encourage families to utilise their purchased sessions consistently to maximise learning benefits within this timeframe. Our team and the Teachworks booking system are available to help you schedule effectively.
  3. Forfeiture of Unused Sessions: Any sessions or credits remaining unused after 365 days from the original date of purchase will automatically expire and be forfeited. No refunds, credits, or extensions will be issued for expired sessions, except under the specific conditions outlined in Section 4 above regarding undelivered services by Haloed Tutoring.
  4. Rationale: This validity period is necessary because our operational costs, resource allocation, and agreements with partnering educational organisations are based on projected usage within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures we can maintain access to the best available tools and personnel for all our current students.

Australian Consumer Law

This policy operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). The ACL provides consumer guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, fit for any specified purpose, and delivered within a reasonable time. This policy does not exclude or limit these statutory rights. If you believe our services have not met these guarantees, please contact us directly to discuss the matter.
